Performed tune up on 36yo Crown boiler. Circulator pump over amping slightly. Pump flanges have corrosion. Auto feeder lacks back flow preventer and is off at isolation valve, indicating it may be over feeding. Boiler drain valve is old and has corrosion. Gas pressure is at 3.5. Heat exchanger is in good condition. Chimney base clear. No isolation valve on expansion tank. System running with 2PPM CO. System is in good working order. Advise replacing pump and flanges, auto feeder for one with a back flow preventer, boiler drain valve, as well as installing an additional isolation valve after the auto feeder for serviceability, and an isolation valve going to the expansion tank so it can be properly drained. Due to age and cost of repairs boiler replacement is recommended.

Blower wheel and filter clean. Blower capacitor tests within range. Motor free of shaft play. Replaced nozzle filter and strainer. 0 smoke. CAD cell showing signs of aging. Purged air from line. 7ppm CO. Nozzle filter and strainer all show signs that system pulled in sludge. Cleaned filter and strainer housings. Advise replacing CAD cell; client opted to replace CAD cell
