Tune up on 24 year old Rheem gas furnace. Blower wheel dirty. Blower motor, blower capacitor, and inducer motor test within range. Filter is in good condition. Flame sensor read low, removed and cleaned now reads within range. Burners have intermittent delayed ignition. Gas pressure adjusted from 3.66 to 3.5. Flue piping has some rust spots. Advise replacing burners, flue piping and cleaning blower. Due to age and cost of repair, system replacement is recommended. Client opted to replace burners, flue piping, and clean blower wheel. Parts need to be ordered, will call when parts are in for scheduling.

Replaced gas valve and adjusted gas pressure to 3.5. Replaced PCB. Supply temp 125, return temp 73. Tested temperature at daughter’s bedroom supply-113 and also a master bedroom supply-110. Gas analysis providing good results. Reads 20 PPM. Thank you for your time and business, Brent and Loren.

Tune up on 12 yo Rudd 90 furnace. Blower wheel has some dirt accumulation. Board is in good condition, free of any damage. Electrical connections tight and clean. Inducer motor, blower motor, and gas pressure test within range. Flame sensor tests low, removed and cleaned, now reads within range. System running with elevated CO levels of 115 PPM. System has rust in heat exchanger. Tested humidifier, humidifier is in working condition. Advise new heat exchanger and blower wheel cleaning. Due to age and cost of repairs, system replacement is recommended.

“I have a Mitsubishi 'split' heat/ AC unit that has been inconsistently working. I put out an 'ask' on a neighborhood FB page- McGinley was recommended. I called and was surprised when an AI assistant took the call and booked me an appointment. Apparently, AI isn't so smart b/c Ryan, from the office, called to tell me AI had overbooked me. We set up another appointment. Meantime, they had a cancellation and fit me in sooner. Ryan is very nice, helpful and aims to please his customers! He sent over Charlie Weiss, a very experienced technician who got right to work in the chilly, damp weather to diagnose my unit. Once done, we went indoors to discuss his findings and potential ways to move forward. He was very transparent with the pricing of each option. Charlie is very knowledgeable about his craft and explained things to my husband & I in very easy to understand language. He is also very personable, friendly and genuine. This company is very lucky to have Charlie represent them! The consultation fee was more than reasonable as was the 'maintenance fee' we would have paid had the unit warranted it. Charlie made it clear he couldn't do the maintenance as there are service issues with the unit that needs attention. We will be waiting to address these in the spring, as advised.
