Kitchen head leaking after 30-60 run time. Vacuumed drain, no debris only water. Verified pitch of drain. Drain is pitched properly, connected above window securely with hose clamp. Flushed drain with drain treatment. Turned on all heads for 40 minutes. No frosting present at this time.

Called out for no cooling. Found problem to be a dirty air filter causing lack of air flow. Coil was like freezing up and overfilling pan when thawing. Removed 20x20x1 air filter DID NOT REPLACE. **It is imperative to replace your air filter right away as it protects your coil and fan from debris** Dried pan and switch. Unit started back up. Proceeded to check temperature splits, drain line, and wet bulb. Customer opted to go with a tune-up. Indoor unit found to have blower motor over amping, this could be due to the fact that the capacitor is also reading out of range. Outdoor unit found capacitor to be reading out of range as well on the compressor side. Condenser is also in general poor condition. System is R22 and is 20 years old. Due to age and condition of system, and the fact that R22 is no longer manufactured in the United States, replacement is recommended. If repairs are your preferred options, it is recommended to replace both the indoor and outdoor capacitor as soon as possible. Also the attic does not have redundant water safety, and we always recommend having at least 2. Recommend a EzTrap.

“I have a Mitsubishi 'split' heat/ AC unit that has been inconsistently working. I put out an 'ask' on a neighborhood FB page- McGinley was recommended. I called and was surprised when an AI assistant took the call and booked me an appointment. Apparently, AI isn't so smart b/c Ryan, from the office, called to tell me AI had overbooked me. We set up another appointment. Meantime, they had a cancellation and fit me in sooner. Ryan is very nice, helpful and aims to please his customers! He sent over Charlie Weiss, a very experienced technician who got right to work in the chilly, damp weather to diagnose my unit. Once done, we went indoors to discuss his findings and potential ways to move forward. He was very transparent with the pricing of each option. Charlie is very knowledgeable about his craft and explained things to my husband & I in very easy to understand language. He is also very personable, friendly and genuine. This company is very lucky to have Charlie represent them! The consultation fee was more than reasonable as was the 'maintenance fee' we would have paid had the unit warranted it. Charlie made it clear he couldn't do the maintenance as there are service issues with the unit that needs attention. We will be waiting to address these in the spring, as advised.
